Born and raised in the Bronx, New York, I happily refer to myself as a "recovering New Yorker." My parents imbued me with the notion that all people are equal, but are confronted with disparate challenges, and that all living things deserve to be nurtured and loved. |

As a counselor/therapist and later a family physician, I've discovered that Family Medicine is the only discipline within the 'house of medicine' that allows me to care for whole individuals (not just organ systems) within the context of larger communities. Beyond the physical body, I appreciate working with families to facilitate healthy communication and cooperation, as well as creative expression to promote healing.
I worked for nearly 10 years in community medicine, and enjoyed teaching medical students and residents. I'm now thrilled to be a part of Seattle Healing Arts, and value the opportunities for collaboration that are afforded by working side by side with healers from many complimentary and alternative disciplines. |
