| As an internist, my training focused on the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic adult illnesses in the primary care setting. As an integrative internist, I appreciate the importance and value of alternative and complementary medicines. My work at Seattle Healing Arts Center allows me to work closely with practitioners in areas such as naturopathy, acupuncture, ayurvedic medicine, Chinese herbology and nutrition.

Evidence-based complementary therapies with conventional Western medicine is a 'best of both worlds' approach to treating disease, healing and improving health and truly is what I consider to be medicine of the 21st century. Therefore I will discuss with patients and refer when appropriate to practitioners of other disciplines as well. Patients are given the time and attention necessary to fully appreciate their health concerns and the recognition that every patient-physician interaction creates an opportunity to contribute to well-being.
Besides offering general internal medicine primary care, special areas of interest include: nutrition, women's health, anti-aging skin care, and mental health including depression and ADD.
