Seattle Healing Arts practitioners offer a wide range of therapies for healing body, mind, and spirit, including:

The ancient Chinese believed there is a universal life energy called "Qi" (or Chi) that circulates throughout the body along pathways called "meridians". When this energy flows freely, we experience good health. If energy flow is blocked, the system is disrupted and pain and illness can occur. Acupuncture uses fine needles to stimulate meridian points on the body to free up the Qi energy and restore normal functions and balance to the body.
5-Element Acupuncture
A form of acupuncture based on the premise that man is an inextricable part of the 5 Elements of Nature —Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water— and those elements affect health and emotional being. 5 Element Acupuncture focuses on a person's relationship to these elements and nature's cycles to diagnose imbalances in the body.
Treatments may involve placement of a fine needle on a meridian point and turning it, then removing it (as opposed to leaving the needle in place for a time).
Acutonics Healing
Acutonics is an energy-based modality similar to acupuncture. Precision-calibrated tuning forks are applied to meridian points to access the body's energy systems. The sound waves of the forks vibrate and travel deeply into the body along energy pathways, affecting human physiology in ways not easily accessed by traditional medicine. Applying the forks stimulates and balances the body's physical and subtle energy fields to facilitate healing, and promote balance and well-being.

Tibetan Medicine
Similar to 5-Element, Tibetan Medicine is based on the premise that each person is made up of the 5 universal elements —Earth, Water, Fire, Wind, and Space— and that each element has specific influences on the body. Treatments often include acupuncture (to stimulate energy channels in the body), massage, and/or botanical medicines to restore balanced energy in mind, body, and spirit.

Quantum Touch
A hands-on form of energy healing whereby a practitioner focuses and amplifies lifeforce energy (Chi), using breathing and body awareness exercises, to hold a high vibrational field around an area of pain or stress on the patient's body. Unani Medicine
Unani medicine is Greek in origin and is based on the premise that four primary elements of nature —Earth, Water, Fire and Air— are present in the human body, and when those elements are in balance, we experience good health; when they're out of balance, we feel pain or illness. Unani remedies often rely on herbs and nutrition.

Homeopathy is based on the principle of "like cures like," a theory of opposites that believes a little of what ails you can cure the larger issue. Substances that, in large amounts, cause illness symptoms are used in miniscule amounts to treat those same symptoms. Homeopathic remedies are gentle, safe and effective – typically taken as tiny pills or drops under the tongue.

Doctors of internal medicine, often called "internists", focus on adult medicine.
Internists have had special study and training focusing on the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of adult diseases. Our bodies are a web of interconnected tissues that flux and flow around our organs in thousands of subtle movements. If adhesions develop between tissues or organs, they create a stickiness that restricts free movement, which can result in decreased organ function and ill health. VM encourages the body's own natural mechanisms for healing by relieving tension points around organs, allowing the body to restore its natural balance.

The sound waves of the forks vibrate and travel deeply into the body along energy pathways, affecting human physiology and reaching places not easily accessed by traditional medicine. Applying the forks stimulates and balances the body's physical and subtle energy field to promote healing and inner harmony.
